About Nick Hoheisel
I'm Nick Hoheisel and I currently serve the 97th District(Southwest Wichita) in the Legislature. My wife Misti and I chose to raise our two children in Southwest Wichita because it has always been our home. Kansas has had its share of problems in the past decade but I wasn't raised to run away from problems– I've always been one to try and solve them.
I first ran for office because I was concerned about the direction of our state and our district. When the politicians in Topeka raised sales taxes among the highest in the nation, I felt obligated to fight for working families and retirees on fixed incomes. Kansas families cannot afford more irresponsible tax increases or experiments. We can do better. Since I was elected, I've repeatably voted to lower the sales tax on food, and although the Governor has vetoed our attempts, I will not be deterred until we are able to provide this tax relief to Kansas families.
The people of the 97th district are hard-working and they care about their community. I serve them, not the special interest groups or lobbyists in Topeka.
I believe in public service and in the spirit of community. I am a former member of the City Council District IV Advisory Board as well as the Southwest Village Neighborhood Association Board. I am a graduate of the Wichita/Sedgwick County Citizens Police Academy.
I believe our best days are yet to come, with hard work and common sense we can make Kansas the best place to locate a business, to start a career, and the best place to raise a family. I humbly ask for your active participation in my campaign.
I will work for you in Topeka. Any donation is appreciated and will be put toward running a positive campaign on the issues.
