Southwest Wichita is home.

Nick Hoheisel has called southwest Wichita home for most of his life. Raised by a single mother as one of seven children, he learned early that strong families depend on faith, personal responsibility, and people who are willing to work hard for one another.

Those lessons shaped the way Nick approaches public service. He believes elected officials should listen, stay accessible, and remember that every decision made at the Capitol affects families, neighborhoods, and small businesses back home.

Nick was first elected to represent southwest Wichita in the Kansas House in 2018. Since then, he has focused on practical solutions that make Kansas more affordable, protect public safety, strengthen the economy, and hold state government accountable.

Today, Nick serves as House Majority Whip and chairman of the House Financial Institutions and Pensions Committee. In those roles, he works with colleagues from across Kansas while continuing to bring southwest Wichita's priorities to the table.

Nick and his wife, Misti, are proud to raise their family in the same community he serves. Whether he is visiting with neighbors at home or working through legislation in Topeka, Nick remains guided by the values he learned growing up: work hard, keep your word, and look out for the people who depend on you.
